The Ministry of Roads and Highways has taken notice of an April 2, 2026, BioNews article headed “He Was Paying contractors on Our Behalf Without Our Knowledge – Roads Ministly Director Reveals.”
The publication in question makes incorrect and deceptive statements. and a total falsification of documents submitted to the Public Accounts Committee (PAC).
To be clear, the submissions to the PAC were solely in response to questions about past financial activities over a certain audit period that arose from the 2024 Auditor-General’s Report.
These issues do not relate to activities carried out by the Ministry of Finance or the Ministry of Roads and Highways under its current administration.
As a result, BioNews is thus required to issue a complete retraction and an unconditional apologies.
In order to correct the misunderstanding, the Ministry further mandates that this disclaimer be published with the same prominence as the original piece.
