The Electricity Company of Ghana Limited (ECG) has started a procedure to gather and digitize customer data.

ECG teams have been sent to homes and workplaces in the Ashanti and Greater Accra regions in order to do this.

Customers’ Customer IDs, phone numbers, GPS codes, and meter information are just a few of the facts that ECG personnel will ask for from them during these visits.

Additionally, ECG intends to improve asset management by giving special QR Codes to their transformers, poles, and meters, which will also be done during this exercise.

ECG announced the launch of this program in a formal statement titled “Digitalization of ECG Assets and Customer Data,” dated Thursday, May 18, 2023.

The business emphasized the value of client involvement and informed them that only authorized ECG personnel would be responsible for collecting the data.

ECG advises clients to check the visiting teams’ ID cards to confirm their identities.

Customers are asked to get in touch with the project manager at 0249106118 for the Greater Accra region or 0249110996 for the Ashanti region if they have any questions or reservations about the authenticity of the ECG officials.
