The Finance Minister has been instructed by President Mahama to pay JustMoh Construction $78 million to settle obligations for work completed on the Agona-Nkwanta Road project since 2024.
Recall that the government previously paid the contractor working on the OFANKOR-Nsawam road almost $70 million in arrears in order to expedite the project’s completion.
The President stated, “As I promised, we will continue all road projects we inherited from the previous government. All contractors who were working before we came into office on projects awarded by the previous government, I have asked them to continue, and we are paying them so they can continue the work,”

During an inspection trip of the Agona-Nkwanta Road project, Hon. Agbodza informed the President that, after parliamentary approval of the Debt Restructuring Agreement, contractors working on stalled road projects will return to the site by the first quarter of next year.
According to him, the deal will make it possible for projects that have been put on hold to resume, such as the PTC Interchange in Takoradi.
