President Nana Akufo-Addo has stated that the government is putting in place a number of laws and policies to “incentivize” green investments, promote an energy-efficient culture, and give top priority to the development of solar, wind, and hydroelectric power projects as vital plans for the expansion of the nation’s energy industry.
At the commissioning of a 15 megawatt solar power facility in Kaleo, Upper West Region, the president stated that the goal of these green energy initiatives is to lessen reliance on thermal power sources.
