Four people suspected of drug trafficking and other criminal acts were arrested as a result of a successful operation by the Narcotics Control Commission (NACOC) in the Greater Accra Region neighborhood of Otinibi.
Targeting suspected drug dens and criminal hideouts, the operation was conducted early in the morning.
Significant amounts of illegal narcotics were found by NACOC authorities during the operation, including two kilos of cannabis and one kilogram each of hashish, GH Gold, and amnesia.
As inquiries into the entire scope of the local criminal network, which was allegedly known for a combination of drug sales and brothels, continue, the confiscated substances have been sent for forensic analysis.

The raid is part of continuous efforts to crack down on drug trafficking and substance misuse nationwide, according to NACOC leadership.
They urged the public to assist law enforcement by reporting suspicious activity and stated that intelligence-led operations will be stepped up in additional locations.
After preliminary investigations are finished, the four suspects, who are still being held, are anticipated to be charged in court.

The Otinibi raid is the most recent in a string of NACOC’s successful operations. A sub-chief was detained for narcotics trafficking at Ankwa-Doboro, a suburb of Amasaman in the Greater Accra Region, during a similar raid on June 5, 2025.
A significant amount of cannabis and other drugs was seized as a result of that operation, which was likewise based on a tip.
Two Ghanaians and two British nationals were detained by NACOC officers at Kotoka International Airport (KIA) in May 2025 for aiding and abetting narcotics trafficking in two different operations.
One suspect was found in possession of 17.72 kg of cannabis, and the other was found in possession of 53.60 kg of the same drug.
