This is in accordance with a press release released on May 4 by Professor Frimpong-Boateng.
The Professor pledged that he would help the Special Prosecutor resolve any issues that were brought up in the report.
“Earlier today, I received a letter from the Office of the Special Prosecutor inviting me to work with the Office “as a person necessary for the investigation” into alleged corruption and offenses related to corruption in relation to the operations and expenses of the disbanded Inter-Ministerial Committee on Illegal Mining (IMCIM).

The statement read, “I have officially indicated my readiness to attend the invitation and to help the OSP in its activities.
Former Minister Frimpong-Boateng charged many New Patriotic Party (NPP) Jubilee House employees with engaging in unlawful small-scale mining in a March 2021 report delivered to President Akufo-Addo via his chief of staff.
The accusations made against some of the mentioned officials have been refuted in remarks that they have released.
