GH¢15,849,920 has been made available statewide by the Ghana Education Service (GES) to fund Form 3 students’ practical costs for the 2025 West African Senior School Certificate Examination (WASSCE).

According to GES, the action was taken to guarantee that every school has enough resources for the impending practical exams.

The released monies would cover the provision of necessary materials and vital resources required to perform the practicals smoothly, according to a press statement signed and issued by Daniel Fenyi, Head of Public Relations at the GES.

The government’s commitment to lessening the financial strain on parents and guardians while enabling students to focus entirely on their academic preparation was emphasized in the statement.

“With the release of the funds, GES seeks to facilitate a smooth and well-coordinated examination process that enables students to focus on their academic work, while relieving parents and guardians of any such financial burden,” the statement read.

According to the statement, in order to maintain efficiency and accountability, regional, district, and school authorities must make sure the monies are applied appropriately for their intended purpose.

The GES remained committed to fostering an atmosphere that supports the achievement of every student, according to the statement, and valued the collaboration of all stakeholders in promoting high-quality education.

“Management will continue to monitor the utilisation processes to ensure compliance and to maintain high standards in the administration of the examination,” it stated.
