The Ministry of Education has announced a new date for the release of the 2026/2027 Computerised School Selection and Placement System (CSSPS) results.
The release of the Ghana SHS placement results, which was originally scheduled for Monday, August 31, 2026, has been rescheduled to Friday, September 4, 2026.
According to the Ministry, the decision follows requests from parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools for additional time to complete the submission and uploading of students’ information onto the West African Examinations Council (WAEC) and CSSPS platforms.
Why the 2026 SHS Placement Results Have Been Delayed
The Ministry explained that the extension will give qualified students more time to complete the necessary processes and ensure that their information is properly captured in the placement system.
The additional time is particularly important for students seeking placement into Senior High Schools (SHS) and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET) institutions for the 2026/2027 academic year.
Ministry data indicates that approximately 20,000 qualified students have yet to have their selected schools uploaded onto the CSSPS platform by their parents, guardians or Heads of Schools.
The Ministry said the extension is intended to ensure that outstanding submissions do not prevent eligible students from participating in the 2026 school placement exercise.
Parents and Schools Urged to Complete CSSPS Submissions
Parents, guardians, students and Heads of Schools have been urged to take advantage of the extended deadline and complete all outstanding school selection and placement requirements within the stipulated period.
The Ministry of Education is encouraging all stakeholders to ensure that students’ information and school choices are accurately submitted and uploaded to avoid difficulties during the placement process.
When Will the 2026/2027 CSSPS Results Be Released?
The 2026/2027 CSSPS placement results are now expected to be released on Friday, September 4, 2026.
The Ministry said the extension is aimed at making the placement exercise more fair, transparent, efficient and orderly, while giving every qualified student a meaningful opportunity to secure placement in an SHS or TVET institution.
Parents and students are therefore advised to monitor official announcements from the Ministry of Education and CSSPS for further updates regarding the 2026/2027 school placement process.
