Petrol prices in Ghana are expected to decline by up to 3.35 per cent per litre from November 1, 2026, while diesel prices are projected to increase by 1.50 per cent, according to the Chamber of Oil Marketing Companies (COMAC).

The latest fuel price projections indicate that Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG) prices could also rise by 0.81 per cent per kilogram during the November 1–15, 2026 pricing window.

Data reported by JoyBusiness suggests that petrol could sell at approximately GH¢17.02 per litre, while diesel prices may reach GH¢18.99 per litre.

However, actual fuel prices at various filling stations may differ depending on the pricing decisions of individual Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs).

Factors Influencing Fuel Prices in Ghana

COMAC attributed the projected changes in petroleum prices to fluctuations in international crude oil and refined petroleum product prices, movements in the Ghana cedi against major foreign currencies, and government intervention in the downstream petroleum sector.

The appreciation of the Ghana cedi is expected to support a reduction in petrol prices by lowering the cost of importing petroleum products.

Meanwhile, continued government and industry support is expected to help moderate the projected increase in diesel prices and reduce the impact on consumers.

The latest projections mean motorists could enjoy some relief from lower petrol prices in November, although diesel users and households relying on LPG may face marginal increases in fuel expenses.
