A traffic accident at Eduadjei on the Cape Coast–Takoradi Highway on Tuesday night resulted in eleven injuries.
When the Ghana National Fire Service (GNFS) Komenda Fire Station arrived at the scene just after 19:15, they discovered that a Nissan Mini Bus driving in the opposite way had collided with an Opel Astra coming from Cape Coast to Komenda.

While the driver of the Opel Astra, who was trapped in the vehicle, was successfully extricated by the GNFS rescue team and subsequently transported to the same facility by the National Ambulance Service, ten passengers on the minibus were saved by onlookers and taken to the Elmina Poly Clinic.
Nine men and two women were hurt, and their injuries varied in severity. While the reason of the collision is still being investigated, firefighters also cleaned debris from the road to allow traffic to resume.
