The GoldBod signed a strategic agreement with the Ghana Geological Survey Authority (GGSA) to conduct geological research in the mineralised, blocked-out areas of Funsi, Atuna, and Bensere East as part of Phase One of the project.

This action is a key step in GoldBod’s efforts to promote safe and data-driven mining practices throughout Ghana.

The effort is designed to create credible and complete geological data that would aid in the creation of model mines across the country.

GGSA will provide geological investigation services for GH₵27.5 million over four months, according to the agreement.

The Minerals Commission of Ghana earlier released 20 mineralised areas to GoldBod, including Funsi, Atuna, and Bensere East.

The project demonstrates GoldBod’s dedication to optimising national gold production while improving sustainability in the mining industry.

The organization hopes to guarantee that mining operations are carried out effectively, ethically, and for Ghanaians’ long-term benefit by investing in trustworthy geological data.
