Sampa in the Bono region’s Jaman North District is under a curfew, according to the Ministry of the Interior.
The Ministry claims that after a chieftaincy conflict, the curfew was implemented on the recommendation of the Bono Regional Security Council and in compliance with the relevant Legislative Instrument.
The Ministry declared that the curfew would start on Thursday, April 18, and run from 4:00 pm to 7:00 am every day. The declaration was signed by Interior Minister Henry Quartey.
The Ministry further declared that it is strictly forbidden for anyone within the Sampa township to possess firearms, ammo, or any other type of offensive weaponry.
