President Mahama’s special assistant and presidential advisor has issued a warning against the dissemination of untrue information about her.

Joyce Bawah firmly declared in an Instagram post on February 24, 2025, that she will not think twice about pursuing legal action against “perpetrators of such false and malicious publications”

She said that the accusations against her were false because she had legally purchased the car for her own use.

“Their attacks would have been justified if in their haste to attack me, they were able to show that the acquisition was not in full compliance with my Conditions of Service or any law,” she wrote.

Joyce Bawah said that she has never been the focus of a scandal or investigation pertaining to the purchase of the automobile, which is alleged to have been obtained illegally, demonstrating her compliance and adherence to the nation’s current laws.

She claimed that despite her adherence to the law, she has been the object of “frustration and constant accusations” from top NPP officials and members, none of which have been found to be accurate.

She also emphasized that she is not the one who determines a vehicle’s value, therefore anyone who wants to know how much her car is worth can contact the State Transport Corporation (STC).

“Valuation of vehicles are done by STC and as the experts, they have their established criteria for conducting valuations on vehicles so it is completely out of place for anyone to attack me for the price of the vehicle when the real questions should be directed at STC to lay bare the parameters for conducting valuations to determine prices of vehicles.”
