Kwabena Boateng elected NPP Parliamentary candidate for Ejisu

In the Ashanti region, Kwabena Boateng, former Second Vice Chairman for the Ejisu Constituency, garnered a resounding victory in the New Patriotic Party’s (NPP) parliamentary primaries.

With 393 votes, he defeated the other eight contenders including his nearest opponent, Madam Helena Mensah, the Presiding Member of the Ejisu Municipal Assembly, who received 302 votes.

Dr. Evans Duah, 61; Kwesi Nyantakyi, 35; Attorney Portia Acheampong Abronye, 6; Clinsman Karikari, 2; Aaron Prince Duah, 2; and Abena Pokua Amoah, 0 were among the other candidates. Madam Yaa Aboagye received 229 votes.

Following the passing of the local MP, John Kumah, the NPP held a primary to choose a candidate for the party to run in the April 30 by-election.
