Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah (MP), Minister of Lands and Natural Resources, took part in a three-day Artificial Intelligence (AI) training session that aims to improve the ability of Ministers of State and other important stakeholders to integrate AI into public sector operations.
The Ministry of Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovations (MoCDTI) and the United Nations Development Programme (UNDP) partnered to organize the Ministerial AI Bootcamp, which brought together technical experts and high-level policymakers from the public and private sectors to discuss how AI could enhance service delivery in their respective domains.

Hon. Samuel Nartey George, Minister for Communications, Digital Technology, and Innovation, stressed in his opening remarks that the program’s goal was to give leaders the skills they need to advance AI policy as government companies advance the National AI Strategy, which is anticipated to be implemented soon, rather than to turn them into software developers.
Hon. Julius Debrah, the Chief of Staff, who formally opened the event, declared that AI solutions created during the bootcamp would be integrated into the ministries’ Key Performance Indicators (KPIs), guaranteeing accountability and real-world use of the learned abilities.
The Director of Communications, Madam Ama Mawusi Mawuenyefia, and the Deputy Minister, Hon. Yusif Sulemana, MP, both represented the Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources.
With UNDP technical assistance and direction, all participating ministries are expected to create workable AI use cases and implementation roadmaps by the end of the training.
