The shocks of world events did not spare Ghana.

“Recent events in the Middle East, which involve an exchange of missiles between Israel and Iran, have started to escalate crude oil prices dramatically,” the President said.

The president thanked the Savannah Region’s chiefs, Yagbonwura, and people for supporting him and the ruling National Democratic Congress (NDC) in the general election held on December 7, 2024.

“And today I return not just as your son, but as the President of Ghana, to express my appreciation to the Yagbonwura, the chiefs and people, queen queenmothers, youth, and women of the Savannah region for your unwavering support, your trust, and your prayers,” he said.
