The Military High Command and the National Service Authority’s management discussed the National Service Emergency Response Readiness Program’s (NSERRP) execution.
This would demonstrate His Excellency the President’s intention to promote discipline, nationalism, and physical fitness in Ghanaian graduates through the establishment of a brief paramilitary training for National Service Personnel (NSPs).
During his first State of the Nation Address in Parliament on Thursday, February 27, 2025, the President expressed this view.
In order to prepare the youth to embrace national growth, Director-General Mr. Felix Gyamfi reaffirmed at today’s meeting the necessity of undergoing basic military drills and orientation for all staff.
“The introduction of this military training is a step in the right direction and must be embraced by all and sundry as one of the indicators for resetting the country, particularly the youth”, he commented.
Brigadier General Amoah-Boakye gave the Authority his word that they will be prepared to give staff the necessary training when the program really starts.
Beginning on August 3, 2025, troops will participate in composite basic military drills for up to two months.
