MLNR PR UPDATES
The Ministry of Lands and Natural Resources, in partnership with the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology, under the leadership of Ministers Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP, and Hon. Murtala Mohammed, MP, has taken a major step to address the pressing issue of water pollution by actively partnering with Diotin Technologies, a world leader in cutting-edge chemical solutions.
In keeping with the government’s Blue Water Initiative, the engagement seeks to investigate a collaboration to address the serious environmental damage brought on by illicit mining operations, which have decimated the country’s waterways.

Diotin UAE’s managing director, Oliver Edwards, emphasized the company’s cutting-edge chemical technology, which may be applied to sophisticated oxidation and biocide water treatment procedures.
By converting tainted water into a safe and sustainable resource, this cutting-edge technique guarantees thorough water purification.
“Our cutting-edge technology is designed to purify polluted water within an impressive 90-day timeframe, making it safe for both human consumption and the preservation of aquatic ecosystems,” Edwards explained.

If approved, this planned collaboration should improve the quality of contaminated waterways, creating a safer environment for both people and aquatic life.
In order to guarantee the project’s successful execution, the team was urged to collaborate closely with the Ministry of Environment, Science, and Technology, local communities, and important stakeholders by Hon. Emmanuel Armah-Kofi Buah, MP and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources.
“This collaboration marks a pivotal moment in our commitment to safeguarding our natural resources and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come,” said Hon. Buah.
