Member of Parliament for Damongo Constituency, Lawyer Samuel Abu Jinapor, has donated 100 motorbikes and a pickup truck to the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the constituency as part of efforts to strengthen grassroots operations ahead of the 2028 general elections.
The donation is expected to improve the mobility of party officials and activists and support the NPP’s community-level activities across the Damongo Constituency.
Donation to Boost NPP Grassroots Mobilisation
The newly donated vehicles are intended to make it easier for party representatives to engage with communities, monitor political activities and maintain regular contact with polling-station executives and grassroots members.
The initiative is also expected to improve communication and coordination among party structures as the NPP prepares for the next general election.
According to the party, better logistical support at the constituency level will be important for strengthening grassroots mobilisation and community engagement.
Damongo NPP Commends Abu Jinapor
Damongo Constituency Chairman Musah Kusubari Karim, who formally presented the donation on behalf of Abu Jinapor, said the gesture demonstrates the MP’s commitment to strengthening and equipping the party’s local structures.
Chairman Karim said providing resources to grassroots party members remains an important part of the NPP’s strategy as it seeks to reclaim political power in the 2028 elections.
He expressed appreciation to Abu Jinapor for the support, noting that the motorbikes and pickup truck would help address longstanding transportation and accessibility challenges affecting party mobilisation in the constituency.
Support for 2028 Election Preparations
The Damongo NPP leadership indicated that the donated vehicles would be used responsibly to support party activities and improve access to communities across the constituency.
The contribution comes as political parties in Ghana begin strengthening their grassroots structures and preparing for increased political activity ahead of the 2028 presidential and parliamentary elections.
The donation is therefore expected to play a role in enhancing NPP constituency operations, grassroots organisation and voter engagement in Damongo.
