Popular Ghanaian actress and media personality Nana Ama McBrown has explained why she no longer accepts video calls from people, following an uncomfortable experience that made her feel exposed.

Speaking during a recent interview on Kessben FM, McBrown recounted how she once accepted a video call from a man who had expressed romantic interest in her, only to discover that several other people were secretly watching her from behind the camera.

McBrown Recalls Uncomfortable Video Call Experience

According to the actress, the man told her that he liked her before they began communicating. Shortly afterwards, he initiated a video call, which McBrown initially considered a normal conversation.

However, during the call, she realised that about three other people were behind the camera watching her without her knowledge or consent.

McBrown said the experience made her uncomfortable and changed the way she approaches video calls with people she does not know well.

She explained that the conversation itself was harmless, as they were discussing ordinary matters at the time.

Ghana Actress Blocks Man After Video Call Incident

Although nothing embarrassing occurred during the conversation, McBrown said she decided to block the man after discovering that other people had been watching her.

The actress said the incident raised concerns about the man’s intentions, particularly because of her status as a Ghanaian celebrity and public figure.

She noted that she had assumed the video call was a private conversation, but later realised that other people had been observing her without her knowledge.

McBrown also pointed out that the situation could have been much more uncomfortable if she had not been appropriately dressed when the unexpected audience was watching.

The experience has since made the actress more cautious about video calls, online privacy and personal boundaries, especially when communicating with unfamiliar people.
