The National Secretariat of the New Patriotic Party has announced the deployment of regional representatives to constituencies across the country to supervise the upcoming polling station and electoral area elections.
Following the submission of nominees by the various Regional Steering Committees, the directive is issued in accordance with authorised electoral guidelines. The action is intended to provide efficient oversight and coordination of the constituency-level elections.
Each constituency executive committee has been officially informed of the Regional Representative allocated to their area, according to the Secretariat. To ensure a seamless election process, these representatives will collaborate closely with constituency executives.
Members of the polling station election committees must be appointed by the regional representatives and constituency executive committees in full compliance with established protocols as part of their duties.
Additionally, the representatives will operate on behalf of the Regional Steering Committees to assure prompt reporting of all proceedings, including any irregularities, to promote transparency and fairness, and to ensure adherence to election procedures.
Constituency executive committees have also been tasked by the National Secretariat with maintaining the greatest levels of thoroughness, professionalism, and discipline in order to conduct legitimate and orderly elections across the country.
