Preparatory meeting on the 96th cycle of Regular LEAP Payment

A preliminary conference for assigned monitoring teams was held by the Ministry of Gender, Children, and Social Protection’s Social Protection Directorate in advance of the 96th cycle of Regular LEAP payments, which is set for June 30–July 4, 2025.

Enhancing coordination, planning, and implementation of the monitoring exercise was the goal of the meeting.

Roles and responsibilities were outlined in detail, the monitoring framework was reviewed, and teams were given the resources and instructions they needed to conduct productive fieldwork.

Important conversations centered on the exercise’s terms of reference, methods to enhance monitoring results, and training on data collection and reporting.

The meeting also highlighted a significant policy adjustment regarding the bi-monthly LEAP cash grants – effective from the 96th payment cycle.

An action with a positive impact that will be formally announced by the sector Minister, Hon. Dr. Agnes Naa Momo Lartey, in the coming days.

Participants reaffirmed their commitment to ensuring accountability, transparency, and the timely disbursement of funds to beneficiaries—while also working to address potential challenges and improve the overall beneficiary experience.
