The confirmation of Supreme Court Judge Justice Gertrude Araba Torkonoo as Chief Justice has the backing of the minority in parliament.
Before it could vote on Justice Gertrude Torkornoo, who was a member of the seven-member panel that rendered the aforementioned decision, the Minority pushed for the reasoned ruling that invalidated the election of James Gyakye Quayson as MP for Assin North during the Chief Justice nominee’s vetting process.
