Ghana is acting decisively to stop illicit fishing, replenish fisheries, and encourage openness.
At the Blue Belt Initiative Conference, Hon. Mavis Hawa Koomson gave a presentation on Ghana’s initiatives, highlighting new laws, rules, and technologically advanced solutions like electronic monitoring systems for ships, VMS, and AIS.
“Together, we are working towards sustainable and transparent fisheries management.” she emphasised.
