Hon. Eric Opoku, Minister of Food and Agriculture, has listed some policies implemented to increase food production across the country.
He said that some of the programs include crop improvement, which uses SMART Agriculture to increase the production of cereals, legumes, vegetables, and starchy crops.
In order to address low yields, large post-harvest losses, and climate issues, he added, important interventions have been implemented, including enhanced seeds, automation, irrigation, storage, and training.
When Hon. Eric Opoku came before parliament to respond to several inquiries about his Ministry, he made this clear.
