The team from the energy sector toured the NESC Drilling Academy and other campus facilities during their visit to the National Energy Skills Center (NESC) in Trinidad & Tobago.
According to Energy Minister Dr. Matthew Opoku Prempeh, there is a need for more industry-academia collaboration with a focus on Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

TVET has remained a crucial component of Ghana’s industrialization plan, which is why significant efforts were made to change this sector while the now sector Minister was Minister of Education.
While the industry diligently works to exploit Ghana’s hydrocarbon and other energy resources, the Ministry is dedicated to forming the essential alliances with seasoned nations like as Trinidad and Tobago in order to ensure Ghana’s economic development.
