The UDS Bill has been approved by Ghana’s Parliament.

The University for Development Studies (UDS) Bill 2025 was approved by the Ghanaian Parliament, re-enacting the PNDC Law 279 to create the university.

The measure will reform the institution and improve its quality and capacity to suit the nation’s diversified and developing demands, according to Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Minister of Education.

After passing a declaration of urgency, the bill was approved by Parliament today.

The Ministry of Education is dedicated to building on the progress achieved in the field of education.
