“Unauthorised” travel advice for Abuja – Department of Foreign Affairs

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Regional Integration, no threat has been made against Ghanaians in Abuja.

The Ministry emphasized that Ghanaians and their Nigerian brothers and sisters continue to coexist in “harmony.”

In light of recent security developments, the Ministry has warned Ghanaians from making unscheduled trips to Abuja in a statement released on the evening of Wednesday, 16 November 2022.

The Ministry then clarified that its initial remark was “unauthorised” in a communiqué.

Additionally, it expressed sorrow for “any trouble” that giving this advice may have “induced to the traveling public.”
