The Gender Analysis of Social and Behaviour Change (SBC) programming for preventing child marriage is presently undergoing a validation meeting.

Key players from government agencies, civil society organizations, development partners, and research institutions are brought together by the initiative, which is run by MoGCSP through the Child Marriage Unit with assistance from UNICEF Ghana.

The purpose of the event is to confirm the results of a gender analysis research that was recently carried out on behalf of the UNFPA-UNICEF Global Programme to End Child Marriage.

The study looks at ways to better address the underlying reasons of child marriage in Ghana by strengthening current SBC initiatives using a gender lens.

To guarantee ownership and a smooth integration into continuing SBC initiatives, participants are expected to discuss the study’s findings, improve implementation suggestions, and foster stakeholder consensus.

Presentations, group discussions, and plenary sessions on topic areas pertaining to the avoidance of child marriage are important activities.

It is expected that the gathering will make a substantial contribution to national initiatives aimed at attaining gender equality and defending the rights of children nationwide, particularly girls.
