In regards to the just concluded Kumawu by-elections held in the Ashanti Region, Henry Nana Boakye, the national organizer of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP), has asked the electorate to disregard what he considers ugly propaganda by the main opposition National Democratic Congress (NDC).
In a statement dated Wednesday, May 24, 2023, Mr. Boakye made the decision.
He claimed that the NDC did not gain support in the by-elections.
According to the statement, the NDC/INDEPENDENT already won the six polling places that the NDC won in 2020.
The statement read, “Meaning in terms of actual polling station victory, NDC DID NOT improve.”
