A number of New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer candidates have chosen nomination forms to run in the party’s presidential primary.
A group under the direction of one of his assistants, Benjamin Armah, selected the nomination papers for the former Energy Minister Boakye Agyarko.
Armah affirmed his belief in Agyarko’s capacity to win the 2024 elections in an interview.
We have every reason to believe that among all the individuals in the NPP, this is the man God has chosen to succeed President Akufo-Addo. Benjamin Armah stated, “We are confident that with his skills and as we promote him, the NPP’s engine of public policy, he would be able to provide hope to the average Ghanaian.
Agyarko’s broad regional network was highlighted once more, and he claimed that he would be one of the leading candidates to serve as the party’s flagbearer.
Former NPP General Secretary Kwabena Agyei Agyapong was another well-known person to obtain his nomination papers.
Francis Addai-Nimoh, a former member of parliament for Mampong, also picked up his paperwork with George Obeng Antwi as his representative, expressing hopes that he would lead Ghana as president in 2025.
Additionally, Dr. Kofi Konadu Apraku, an economist and two-time candidate for the NPP presidential nomination, had his team collect papers on his behalf.
On May 26, the NPP formally opened nominations, making it possible for those who were interested in leading the party in the elections of 2024 to pick up their candidacy paperwork.
According to a statement issued by the party, the forms are available from the Office of the General Secretary at the Party Headquarters in Asylum Down from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm, Monday through Friday.
