Hon. Michael Kpakpo Allotey, the mayor of Accra, has visited the Bubui Electoral Area to assess the status of ongoing road construction projects on Ayawa Street, previously Oquaye Street.
The project, which is being carried out by Hydronomics Limited, spans 700 meters of roadway.
Speaking following the inspection, the mayor emphasized that the project was essential to enhancing accessibility in the neighborhood and expressed confidence that it would be finished on time. He also expressed pleasure with the pace and quality of work thus far.
“I am impressed with the progress made so far and hopeful that the project will be completed within the stipulated timeframe to bring relief to residents,” Hon. Allotey stated.

The Mayor reaffirmed the Assembly’s dedication to overseeing and keeping an eye on ongoing projects throughout the city to guarantee on-time delivery and cost-effectiveness.
Mr. Douglas N.K. Annoful, the local assembly member, the AMA Coordinating Director, and other authorities joined the mayor in interacting with the public and announcing a 24-hour street market to boost local business.
The project, which spans a roadway length of roughly 700 meters with a width of 12 to 13 meters, was anticipated to be finished before October 31, 2025, according to Engineer Mohammed, Project Engineer of Hydrodynamics.
According to him, work had already begun on one stretch, with about 400 meters of it largely finished. The team was in the second layer and was anticipated to complete that section by the end of the week.
