In Lima, Peru, on September 16, 2025, Ghana and Peru convened their first-ever political consultation.
Building stronger bilateral ties between the two nations was the goal of the political consultation. Among other topics of discussion were bilateral air services agreements, trade, economics, tourism, and technological collaboration.
The Foreign Service Institute’s Director-General, Ambassador Muhammad Adam, headed the Ghanaian group, while Ambassador Jorge Raffo, Director-General for Africa, the Middle East, and Gulf Countries, led the Peruvian delegation.
