Ghana held the colourful Some Tutuza Festival in Agbozume, Volta Region, with the theme “Tourism and Sustainable Transformation” in honour of World Tourism Day 2025.
Leading the national event was Hon. Abla Dzifa Gomashie, Minister for Tourism, Culture & Creative Arts, who emphasised the importance of tourism for economic progress, peace, and unity.
On behalf of President John Dramani Mahama, Hon. Goosie Tannoh linked the event to the government’s 24-Hour Economy Program and praised the people of Some for conserving their unique legacy.

The celebration honoured the President and the Minister for their leadership while showcasing custom, music, and community pride.
The history and cultural heritage of the Some people were celebrated by chiefs, government representatives, dignitaries, and residents, establishing tourism as a catalyst for national growth.
Stakeholders aim to increase Ghana’s international cultural visibility, foster intercultural dialogue, and support tourism-led development throughout the nation by combining World Tourism Day with the Some Tutuza Festival.
