Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia, the former vice president of Ghana, believes that polling station managers need more authority.
According to him, if they are empowered, they become strong in of themselves and powerful for the party.
He believes that throughout the years, polling station executives haven’t been given the essential attention in the political party and are only prioritized during election season, which should not be the case.
While on tour in the Bono Region, Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia revealed plans to create a database for polling station managers.
“If they are empowered, they become very strong in of themselves and strong for the party, just not an election season but across the whole time frame, so that we can take care of them. So it’s the empowerment of the grassroots that empowers the party and that ultimately empowers the country,” he said.
