Otumfuo Osei Tutu II, the Asantehene, has set November 30 and December 1, 2025, for what is anticipated to be the last meeting in his attempts to mediate the long-running Bawku chieftaincy dispute.
The Asantehene praised all parties for their good engagement and constructive participation during the mediation process, according to a statement released by Manhyia Palace and signed by Chief of Staff Kofi Badu.
Otumfuo emphasised the necessity for ongoing cooperation to bring about long-lasting peace in Bawku and urged all parties involved to abstain from any actions that would compromise the progress accomplished thus far.
The Asantehene is leading the mediation, which is a component of larger national initiatives to end the long-running chieftaincy conflict in the Upper East Region.
