Nana Kwadwo Safo Akofena I, the son of the late Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka, has been appointed as the new leader of the Kristo Asafo Mission of Ghana.
On Sunday, June 21, 2026, the announcement was posted on the mission’s official Facebook site along with a video commemorating his appointment and a congratulations message.
The post called the installation a “significant milestone” and offered prayers for discernment, fortitude, and heavenly direction as he assumes the role.
The ministry further stated that Apostle Kwadwo Safo Kantanka’s legacy would inspire and thrive for many generations to come.
The development coincides with rumours of a shooting incident involving former Dome-Kwabenya Member of Parliament Sarah Adwoa Safo, as well as a court order attempting to halt the installation process.
