On Sunday, December 8, 2025, the National Anti-Illegal Mining Operations Secretariat (NAIMOS) continued its relentless battle against illegal mining, dealt another crushing blow to galamsey operators in the Eastern Region.
The task group demonstrated the state’s increasing determination to recover rivers and forests from environmental degradation by conducting targeted patrols throughout important illegal mining channels during a day-long operation.
