President John Dramani Mahama has expressed deep grief over the death of Mahama Naser Toure, the late Member of Parliament for Ayawaso East, calling the loss surprising and terrible.

While commiserating with the grieving family, the President stated that the legislator’s death was unexpected and asked the family to be strong despite the tough circumstances.

“Nobody would have thought that Toure would leave us so soon. His death came as a shock to me but God knows best. May his soul rest in peace and our deepest condolences to you, his family. Stay strong in these difficult times,” President Mahama said.

The President’s comments coincide with the ongoing outpouring of condolences from coworkers, party members, and the general public in the wake of the unexpected death of the Ayawaso East congressman, who was well-known for his dedication to public service.

He gave the family his sincere condolences as they grieved the loss and hoped for the late MP’s soul to rest in peace.

Mahama Naser Toure was a member of the House Committee, the Roads and Transport Committee, the Private Members’ Bills and Motions Committee, and the Vice Chairman of the Energy Committee during his four terms in parliament.

The late MP was well known for his dedication to community development, especially through programs like “Operation Cement Your Lungu,” which aimed to improve the appearance and sanitation of underprivileged communities.
