Kwakye Ofosu responds to the GNFS attack on a journalist as “unacceptable.”

Felix Kwakye Ofosu, Minister for Government Communications, has denounced the attack on journalist Samuel Addo of the Class Media Group, calling it abhorrent and promising that those guilty will be held accountable.

“The attack on Class Media Group’s Samuel Addo by some personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service is most unacceptable and I condemn same. Firm action will be taken against the rogue elements who carried out this attack.” Kwakye Ofosu said in a statement in response to the event.

The censure comes after allegations that the journalist was beaten while capturing Ghana National Fire Service members engaged in a violent altercation with vendors at an unidentified market.

Tensions at the scene had already increased when the cops allegedly arrived late to a distress call, which led to the altercation.
