Hon. Muntaka Mohammed-Mubarak, Minister of the Interior, has conducted an on-site inspection of the documentation and body inspection phases of the Ghana Police Service recruitment exercise in the Greater Accra Region, praising its orderly execution while issuing a strong warning against bribery and corruption.

Hon. Muntaka visited major screening locations, such as the Ghana Police Church and the National Police Training Academy, where activities were noted to be structured and efficient.

Applicants were processed in planned times, reducing congestion and ensuring the exercise ran smoothly.

The Minister thanked staff members and applicants for their dedication to their jobs.

He cautioned against any kind of wrongdoing and stressed the significance of closely adhering to authorised procedures and norms.

Hon. Muntaka cautioned candidates in a statement that hiring into the security services is still completely free and merit-based, and he urged them not to give money to anyone claiming to have control over the process.

The Minister declared, “We are watching with eagle eyes and have started making some arrests, and will keep monitoring,”

The Minister reaffirmed the Ministry of the Interior’s commitment to transparency, accountability, and integrity as it builds Ghana’s security institutions.

He advised that people maintain high levels of integrity throughout succeeding stages, including physical fitness testing and medical examinations, and that comparable oversight be maintained in future exercises.
