The Fixed Income Market saw a significant increase in trading activity in January 2026.

Trading activity on the Fixed Income Market recorded notable growth in January 2026, according to the Ghana Stock Exchange’s Summary of Market Activities for the month.

The total volume traded on the debt market stood at 36.91 billion, up 118.45 per cent from the 16.89 billion recorded in January 2025.

The number of trades also increased to 56,982, representing a 13.83 per cent year-on-year rise.

Breaking down the activity, Treasury Bills accounted for 37.75 per cent of the total volume, Government Bonds contributed 60.91 per cent, while Corporate Bonds made up the remaining 1.34 per cent.
