Speaker Bagbin and a delegation from the Ghanaian Parliament advanced talks regarding a cooperation with Sunderland AFC, a prominent English Premier League football team, at the Stadium of Light as part of his tour to the United Kingdom.
The ongoing conversation goes much beyond the immediate idea for Sunderland AFC to face the champions of the upcoming Parliament of Ghana’s Democracy Cup football competition.
The aim of these talks is to provide Ghanaian and African football players with additional chances to enter the Premier League and other internationally recognised football competitions.
He is personally dedicated to this strategy and making sure that our young people receive the benefits as soon as possible in his capacity as Speaker of the Ghanaian Parliament.
