Minister of Education at the Government Accountability Series

Hon. Haruna Iddrisu, Minister for Education, announced at the Government Accountability Series that a revised curriculum for Kindergarten through Junior High School will be presented to the Ministry of Education this week, introducing subjects such as coding, artificial intelligence, electronics, and Technical and Vocational Education and Training (TVET).

Drawing from recent legal education reforms under the Legal Education Act, 2026, the Minister also disclosed the government’s plan to increase access to medical education.

He pointed out that expanding professional training options is crucial to creating the trained labour force required to sustain Ghana’s long-term growth.

Ongoing educational changes, according to Hon. Iddrisu, are intended to increase access to professional careers in important economic areas and provide young Ghanaians with essential skills.
