Star Oil has raised the price of petrol and diesel at the pump by GH0.30 a litre. The new prices go into effect on Sunday, July 26, 2026.
The oil marketing business claimed that fluctuations in the exchange rate and higher pricing for petroleum products abroad were the main causes of the upward adjustment.
Star Oil’s RON 95 petrol is still priced at GH¢16.75 per litre under the new pricing, but drivers will pay GH¢0.30 more per litre for both petrol and diesel than they did under the previous pricing window.
Star Oil was among the first significant Oil Marketing Companies (OMCs) to modify fuel prices during the current pricing window with this most recent rise.
As of Saturday, GOIL and a number of other prominent oil marketing firms had not disclosed any adjustments to their pump pricing, thus the current rates remained unaltered.
Due to the development, drivers who use Star Oil petrol stations will have to pay more for fuel starting on July 26. Meanwhile, consumers of other large OMCs will still be able to buy fuel at their current pricing, pending any further evaluations.
