The new Accra-Kumasi Expressway will follow an entirely new route and is expected to significantly improve road transportation between Ghana’s two major cities.
The major road infrastructure project is projected to reduce travel time between Accra and Kumasi by as much as 50%, making journeys faster, more efficient and convenient for motorists and commuters.
The new expressway forms part of efforts to modernise Ghana’s road network, improve connectivity and boost economic activity along the Accra-Kumasi transport corridor.
Once completed, the project is expected to enhance the movement of people and goods while supporting trade, business and regional development across Ghana.
