The Ghana Armed Forces Critical Care and Emergency Hospital (GAFCCEH) has organised a blood donation exercise to help strengthen the country’s blood supply and support emergency healthcare services.
The donation exercise was held on Friday, September 18, 2026, at the Blood Bank and Transfusion Services Centre of GAFCCEH at Burma Camp.
The initiative forms part of efforts by the hospital to promote voluntary blood donation and ensure that adequate blood stocks are available for patients who require urgent medical attention.
According to the organisers, maintaining sufficient blood supplies is essential for providing timely emergency treatment, particularly for patients undergoing critical medical procedures and other emergency interventions.
