The Ghana Football Association (GFA) has appealed to the Confederation of African Football (CAF) for an additional 500 tickets to help Ghanaian supporters who travelled to Bouaké, Côte d’Ivoire, attend the Black Stars’ AFCON 2027 qualifier.
Approximately 500 Ghanaian fans are reportedly stranded in Bouaké after travelling to support the Ghana national football team in the highly anticipated qualifier against Côte d’Ivoire.
With tickets for the match already sold out, the supporters face the possibility of missing the crucial 2027 Africa Cup of Nations qualifying fixture despite making the trip to Côte d’Ivoire.
GFA Seeks CAF Support for Ghanaian Supporters
The GFA has formally petitioned CAF to provide additional tickets to accommodate the Ghanaian fans who are currently without match tickets.
The association is seeking an extra allocation of approximately 500 tickets, which would allow more Ghanaian supporters to enter the stadium and back the Black Stars during the important AFCON 2027 qualifying encounter.
The situation has generated concern among Ghanaian football supporters who travelled to Bouaké for the match.
