Dr. Bryan Acheampong, the minister for food and agriculture, has debunked allegations made in reference to a viral video that falsely implies that the minister is razing farmlands to build highways.
The Member for Abetifi Constituency explained in a press release that the allegations are wholly unfounded and reflect yet another deliberate effort to harm his reputation.
“It is unfortunate that, despite the recent improvements at the Agriculture Ministry, some people continue to work to damage the Minister’s reputation.

According to the statement, the in issue road project is one of several initiatives by the government to relieve congestion at Mpraeso in the Eastern Region. The highway links Nkwatia to Asakraka and Bepong.
“It is also important to stress that the images and videos spreading incorrectly claim that Bryan Acheampong, MP for Abetifi, is responsible for this road development.
We wish to stress that the road seen in the video is not one that is being built from Rock City to Obo and that we vehemently reject these false assertions. Declarative note
The statement claims that it is malicious for anyone to try to connect Rock City Hotel to the project in an effort to further harm the minister’s reputation.
The congressman added that it is significant to remember that certain Nkwatia locals have expressed their gratitude for the government’s project and have praised the work of the local MP.
The Minister of Food and Agriculture, Dr. Bryan Acheampong, vowed to continue carrying out his duties with utmost dedication and to continue helping the residents of Abetifi and all of Ghana.
