Yesterday, October 2, 2023, Vice President Dr. Mahamudu Bawumia led a delegation to the palace of the Ga Mantse to express sympathy to the Ga Traditional Council on the passing of the Ga Many, Naa Dedei Omaedru III.
The book of condolences opened for the late queen mother was signed by Dr. Bawumia, who was also joined by his wife, Samira Bawumia.
The late queen mother had a 59-year reign. In private, 88-year-old Naa Omaedru went by the name Naa Dedei Ablah. When she was 29 years old, she was installed as Ga Manye.
On December 26, 2022, she passed away in the company of her loved ones at her home in Dansoman.
